Rewild DFW: urban forests non-profit
A new, ongoing project. This is a nonprofit that transforms urban land into small micro-forests. We seek to adapt the Miyawaki Method. A process developed by a Japanese botanist in the 70s to establish quick-growing patches of native species that can achieve 100 years of growth in the span of 30 years. The goal is to make an organization that works with community groups to make this method accessible and impactful to the public.
